Mr. Bennett is a specialist in providing customized, value oriented investment strategies within fee-based brokerage, Individual Retirement (IRA) and Defined Benefit Pension plans as well as designing and providing low cost, fee transparent, diversified employer sponsored 401(k) and 403(b) retirement plans.

Background

Troy has been a practicing Investment Advisor Representative since 2001. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and minor in Economics from Oregon State University where he graduated in 1989 with High Scholarship and membership in both Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi academic honor societies.

 

He possesses 25+ years of experience in business financial analysis and consulting. Troy is a firm believer in Graham-Dodd style value investing which focuses on the purchase of underpriced securities issued by corporations with strong balance sheets and consistent income/cash flow performance history, and sale of such securities when their prices reach the issuing corporation’s intrinsic value.

 

 

 

Service Goals

Mr. Bennett conducts periodic reviews of client's finances and accounts to ensure their capital structure and portfolio design continue to meet their individual needs, while working in partnership with client's CPAs and Attorneys regarding the client's tax reporting and estate plan.

 

He annually meets with 401(k) and

403(b) Plan Sponsor's management teams to review plan expenses and enhance the plan's investment offerings. Troy also meets annually with all plan participants in both group settings and individually to explain changes to the plan and assist them with their personal asset allocation/investment choices.

 

Troy is affiliated with Independent Financial Group, LLC, an independent broker/dealer. This affiliation allows him to design his client's portfolio's to address their personal needs, not to satisfy broker/dealer sales quotas or push broker/dealer proprietary products.
